Canyoning involves descending the steep
and rugged upper courses of mountain streams, through
canyons and ravines, overcoming the numerous obstacles
that result from the effects of water erosion.
This is a particularly exciting activity.
You make your way down the canyon on foot along the
course of the stream, using ropes to descend spectacular
waterfalls, jumping into deep pools of crystal-clear
water, and sliding down natural rock slides worn smooth
by the action of the water. Not to mention squeezing
between massive boulders and enjoyng the lush vegetation
peculiar to these nothern Spanish ravines.
Asturias has canyons of every type, from
the the highly challenging to relatively straightforward,
so almost anyone can take part, assisted by our experienced
guides and supervisors.
